Ways 2 Wellbeing: Peer Support at Hull & East Riding Mind

Want to improve your mental health? We can help. We have a range of peer support workshops to support you to improve your mental health and wellbeing. All our workshops use the ‘Five ways to wellbeing’- Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning and Give. Making these part of our day to day lives can help all of us to look after our mental health and aids recovery. To book your FREE place call 01482 240200 or email info@heymind.org.uk

Goole Bonfire 2018

Goole Town Council is delighted to announce the details of Goole’s annual Bonfire Celebrations, which will take place at West Park on Monday 5 November.

Gates open from 5pm with a funfair, children’s rides and food stalls, followed by fireworks and bonfire from 7pm onwards. West Park Café will also be open for drinks and light refreshments. The fireworks will once again be designed by External Combustion, who have designed the display for the last seven years.

Advance tickets are priced £3 per person, or £10 for a family ticket (2 adults, 2 children or 1 adult, 3 children), which are available to purchase from Junction Box Office up until 5pm on Monday 5 November. Tickets can also be bought over the phone on 01405 763652 until Wednesday 31 October, with a postal charge of 50p per order.

Remaining tickets will also be available to purchase on the gate at the Airmyn Road entrance to West Park from 5pm priced £4 per person. We strongly advise purchasing your tickets in advance as we cannot guarantee any will be remaining for purchase on the night. Under 3s do not need their own ticket.

Please note that there is no on-site parking available. Blue Badge parking is bookable in advance by calling Junction on 01405 763652.

Personal fireworks including sparklers will not be allowed on site due to safety concerns.

FRIENDS OF WEST PARK

Friends of West Park: Halloween Spooktacular

  • Saturday 27 October, 3pm onwards
  • Location: West Park, Airmyn Road, Goole, Cost: Available from Junction

Friends of West Park present their annual Halloween Spooktacular event with:

Pumpkin Carving, 3pm, 3.25pm, 4pm & 4.25pm
Carve a spooky pumpkin in the Green Team Room. Please note that this is a ticketed event and places are limited.
Tickets priced £2.50 available from Junction until 4.30pm on Friday 26 October. Any remaining tickets available from West Park on the day while stocks last.

Lantern Parade , From 5.30pm onwards, FREE
Following the carving event, there will be a procession through the park to show off your pumpkins.
