Skate Goole

Skate Goole

During the Easter Holidays and the first week of the new school term, Goole Town Council and partners have organised a roller rink in the currently unused Goole Market Hall.

Skate Goole will be the first event hosted in the Market Hall after its closing in 2019, and it is hoped it will act as a forerunner for more events of this kind that can bring the community together.

The event has been made possible through a partnership between Goole Town Council, East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Goole Town Deal, with additional funding through Love Your High Street, and the Holiday Activities and Food Programme.

Running from Tuesday 19 – Saturday 30 April, the roller rink is open to all. Skating costs £4 for under 18s and £6 for adults for a 45-minute session. Skates are available for free, but those that have them can also bring their own if preferred.

There are also Silent Disco sessions (£1 extra) – where participants can enjoy their own private playlist while showing off their skills on the rink.

Accessible and autism friendly sessions are also available. In these sessions wheelchair users are welcome on the rink. In addition, sound levels are lower and the number of skaters is reduced to welcome those with a range of conditions such as autism, learning disabilities and cognitive disorders.
